Monday Motivations; Conquering Indecision

Hello friends and welcome to another wobbly week of writing. Lately I’ve been struggling with indecision. Writing has, admittedly, been on the back burner while I adjust to my new workload and day job expectations. Though every night I climb into bed and brainstorm or fantasize about the shape my story will take, I have… Continue reading

Hello fellow readers and welcome back to another edition of Fiction Friday. Today I’m going to talk about the books I hope to read in the month of May. This month, I’m going to break my list down by format, just for funsies. Physical Copies So, this was actually my starter book for my new… Continue reading

How Do You Middle?

Hello friends and welcome to another sagging edition of Just Another Struggling Writer. I’m just another struggling writer. Friends, I had an epiphany last night: the reason I fail so often to finish drafts, the reason I bounce from project to project is because… I absolutely fucking suck at middles. Can We Skip to the… Continue reading

WIP Wednesday; Routine Roulette

Hello friends and welcome back to that corner of the internet where I cry about my current WIP. Friends, fellow writers, I come to you on the first day of a new routine. Again, Kerry? You say. Yes. Again. I’m not a morning person. Given my druthers, my day would start at around 10:00 am… Continue reading

Trope-Day; Divine Assistance
Hello friends and welcome back to another trope-tastic day at Just Another Struggling Writer. You know the drill by now. Every Tuesday we highlight a different fantasy trope in an effort to destigmatize the way people think about tropes in writing. In my mind, tropes are the building blocks of all forms of writing. As… Continue reading

Monday Motivations; It’s Gonna Be…

But there’s no use crying over spilled mental illness. Today, it’s back in the saddle. After all, it’s not just a new week but a… Continue reading

Trope-Day; One-Handed Zweihander

Hello friends! It’s Trope-Day and boy have I got a great one for you today. Personally, I’m a huge fan of tropes and am a firm believer that a trope is made or broken by the way it is utilized. Today’s trope is purely aesthetic. One-Handed Zweihander What epic fantasy is complete without an unreasonably… Continue reading

Monday Motivations; What is My Foundation Made Of?

Hello friends and welcome to another willful week of writing. I’m thinking a lot this morning about why I succeed at nailing my goals on some days and why I crash and burn on others. What components make up a “good” day and what pitfalls appear on the “bad” ones? How can I build a… Continue reading

Fiction Friday; Should I Read A Deadly Education?

Hello friends, and welcome to another edition of Fiction Friday, my blog series about all things books! That I didn’t write. Not that I’ve written any. Anyway. A few weeks ago, I talked about a few of the reasons I tend to DNF books. Longtime readers of the blog were likely not surprised to see… Continue reading

WIP Wednesday; Coming Around to Advice I Once Abhored

Hello friends! I am grateful to be back after a sudden but violent head cold knocked me on my ass earlier this week. Unfortunately, however, my convalescence means that I don’t have much in the way of updates as far as my WIP is concerned. So, why am I here? Well, because I recognize that… Continue reading
About Me
Kerry Share’s love for writing started, as it so often does, as a love of reading at an early age. At age 11 she wrote her first short story, a Harry Potter knockoff of dubious quality, and her love for creative expression was born. Throughout her teen years she continued to foster that passion through derivative work, and at 23 she turned her eye to original fiction.
Now in her thirties, having taken a break from creative endeavors to cope with an ever changing life and landscape, she is determined to make her dream of a writing career reality.
